Vodafone Ukraine (VFU), Ukraine's second-largest mobile operator, presented a project to build an underground data center in Ukraine at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) in Gdansk, Poland. The facility is to be developed in synergy with the Kardesa submarine fiber-optic cable project announced last October, with the operator stating the complex will integrate Ukraine into global data-traffic routes and help form a key European data hub.
