Uganda's Ministry of Health permanent secretary Diana Atwine said on Sunday that an Ebola outbreak declared on May 15 has been contained through treatment of confirmed cases, contact tracing and quarantine. Uganda has recorded 20 confirmed cases since the outbreak began, with 16 recoveries, two deaths and two patients still hospitalized, and has begun engaging countries to lift Ebola-related travel restrictions while deploying a medical team and mobile labs to neighboring DRC, the source of imported cases.
