Major-Roman Hoffman has been appointed head of the Mossad foreign intelligence service. This is the highest security post ever held by a repatriate from former Soviet Union countries in Israel's history, according to Dmitry Gendelman, an advisor to the Israeli prime minister's office, who spoke on Tuesday.
