Lebanon says Israel conducted 3,491 air raids since April ceasefire, with 70 strikes on Sunday alone — Defense Minister Michel Menassa cites 3,526 deaths and 10,733 injuries in the period, as U.S.-brokered truce remains fragile.
Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Menassa said Israel carried out 3,491 air raids in Lebanon between April 17 and June 7 despite a ceasefire, with 70 airstrikes and 33 missiles recorded on Sunday alone. He also reported 47 members of Lebanon's military and security institutions killed since March 1, and documented 407 Israeli demolition operations, six land-clearing operations, and six ground incursions in the same period. The U.S.-brokered ceasefire took effect April 17, but Israeli troops remain in southern Lebanon and continue fighting Hezbollah. Separately, the Israeli military said three projectiles were launched toward its troops in southern Lebanon, causing no injuries. Michel Issa said Lebanese-U.S.-Israeli negotiations had reached 'a point of no return.'
