Gunmen kill 3 in foiled student abduction attempt at school in central Nigeria's Kogi state, authorities say. Security forces killed one attacker and are hunting fleeing suspects after the raid on an exam hall.

At least three people were killed after suspected terrorists stormed a school in Nigeria's central state of Kogi early Wednesday, local authorities said. Kingsley Fanwo, commissioner for information and communications in Kogi State, said the attackers, disguised in military uniforms, disrupted an examination and shot dead three people, including a vice principal, before security forces intervened, preventing a mass abduction.
