Czech police confirm cocaine seized from Russian Bishop Hilarion in Karlovy Vary. He was released without charges, now sent to manage parishes in Brazil.

Czech police confirmed to DenikN that the white powder seized from Bishop Hilarion (Grigory Alfeyev) was cocaine. Police spokesperson Martina Richterova stated that several grams of the substance were found in his car. The bishop was detained in late May in Karlovy Vary but released without charges. He returned to Russia, and Patriarch Kirill has now sent him to manage Russian Orthodox parishes in Brazil.
