The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that escalating violence has injured 45 Ebola response and aid workers in 76 security incidents across Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo since the mid-May outbreak. National health authorities reported 1,708 confirmed Ebola cases as of Monday, with the outbreak expanding geographically to Boga Health Zone in Ituri.
