Pakistan's military said on Friday that security forces have carried out 40,348 intelligence-based operations across the country so far in 2026, with more than 31,000 in southwestern Balochistan province. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), told a press conference that 2,084 terrorists were killed during the period and 819 Pakistanis died in terrorism-related incidents, including 303 military personnel, 194 members of the police and civil armed forces, and 322 civilians. The military also recorded 3,145 terrorism-related incidents nationwide during the period.
