Afghanistan secures over $151M in mining investment over the past year, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said Sunday. Funds targeted gold, marble, chromite, coal, iron, zinc and other minerals, with authorities issuing 1,138 mining licenses across 27 provinces.

Afghanistan has secured more than 10 billion afghanis (over 151 million U.S. dollars) in mining investment over the past year, government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said Sunday at an online press conference reviewing the administration's economic progress.
