Afghan security forces dismantled a clandestine drug processing laboratory and seized more than 2,000 kg of illicit drugs in western Farah province, the office of the Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs for Counter-Narcotics announced on Saturday. Counter-narcotics police units conducted operations on the outskirts of Obe district, destroying the lab and recovering 2,205 kg of illicit substances used in heroin production, and four suspects were taken into custody.
