Heads of civil service from across ASEAN gathered in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Wednesday for the 23rd ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) and the 8th ACCSM+3 meeting. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet opened the summit under the theme 'Innovation for Better Service Delivery,' urging member states to adopt new technologies, particularly AI, at a sustainable pace to narrow regional development gaps. Deputy PM Hun Many noted the ACCSM has served as a vital regional platform for over 40 years, with China, Japan, and South Korea as core dialogue partners.

Cambodia exported 707,471 tons of milled rice in the first seven months of 2026, up 68% year-on-year, generating $415.1 million in revenue. The Cambodia Rice Federation said the country is on track to surpass 1 million tons in annual exports for the first time.
